There are not currently any quad core mobile processors out, and I have not seen any definitive plans to release any anytime soon. The Quad cores that are out are desktop chips, which use a different socket than notebook chips. So, unless Apple starts putting desktop chips in their notebooks (highly unlikely due to power consumption) you will not see any quad core MacBooks anytime soon.

they're not going to replace them, it will be an addition. it's most likely that every computer manufacturer will release a top end notebook with the Core 2 Quad processor as soon as it's available.

there are very few software programs that utilize dual core processors, (kind of like 64bit processors) its useless untill software catches up! if they sell any it will be for the morons with lots of money and little brains
