Hi!
Is the Aladdin hotel still under construction? We'd like to stay there the first week of february 2007 but we'd like to know if we'll be able to stay in the hotel without the hassles of sidestepping construction people. thanks for any input!

The Aladdin is converting to a Plant Hollywood Hotel and the man construction when we were there in December was on the sidewalk outside. They are adding something that looks like more stores and restaurants on the front side of the hotel but they merely covered the sidewalk and rerouted pedestrian traffic. There was no change in thehotel or casino or the shops.

The Aladdin is not really under construction, it's more of a renovation. Now the Planet Hollywood, they are in the process of giving the Strip side a face lift to represent the new ownership. It is fun to look for the old (Aladdin) appointments mixed with the new. When I was there last week, the Registration doors were PH, but the Strip doors were still Aladdin. The table game felts have been changed, but the stakes sign had not. Our room had Hollywood posters, but Aladdin furnishings. The most curious? What will they do with all of the bathroom sink fixtures............they are in the shape of Aladdin's lamp........

Their website doesn't have any info about construction. They're holding the Miss America Pagent there on January 29th, so I'm assuming they have completed construction.

I was there in November and there was still construction, but it posed no inconvenience for me ...my stay was great.
