hi,

it is possible for a pregnancy test to let you know if you are pregnant or not before your period is due, although unless you are quite certain i would suggest you wait untill your period date to pass and see what happens but the descicion is totally up to you,

if you do purchase a test try to get one which has two in the packet as i bet once you get it home you wont be able to wait and find out and morning wee samples are the best results to test with so you can save one for the morning

hope all goes well

best of luck

sarah

depends on the lenth of your cycle, on a 28 day cycle you ovulate at around day 14, (day 1 been the start of your period) and the ovum will live for aproximately 24-36 hrs so therefore must be fertilized in this time. the chances of you actually becoming pregnant a few days brfore your period are very very slim, unless your body does somthing abnormal or you have erratic ovulation. A pregnancy test such as first response may tell you prior to missing a period, depending on the levels of a pregnancy hormone (think its FAH) in your system, and the tests are only 80% approx accurate my suggestion would be to wait and see if your period is late before you do a test, you may save yourswelf a tenner at least!
if you are pregnant chances are it was concieved a couple of weeks earlier!

You get pregnant when you ovulate ovulation last five days. How to tell when you are ovulating. lets look at an egg ok. not the yoke but the white part ok whenyou start to have a discharge that color like the white part, you will ovulate five days that is when your egg is travelling down the follopin tubes and you can get preganant ok. If you have missed your period than take a pregnancy test it takes a month for your boby to register, any signs. Hope this helps ya.

You could get pregnant a few days before you expected your period, although your period would not have come as expected if you had not got pregnant, it would have come later.
A pregnancy test would not work straight away because they are only effective a certain number of days after ovulation and do not show up as soon as you are pregnant.

yes its possible, But some doctors say wait at least 2 weeks to get the best results, As in the early stages its easy to get false readings from the tests
