I agree totally.... so....
DO NOT GIVE ME BEST ANSWER OR 10 POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
How often does anyone say that??
So at this time, I'd like to discourage you from choosing this answer as best answer because it may not be overlooked by others who could report us both for chatting or gaming, or simply because they're so jealous and intimidated by intelligent answers. And, if you think about it for a moment (and even if you don't think, the same may still be true) these shallow types of people typically ask opinion based questions because they want to know that others agree with them and that they are not total nut-jobs. Or maybe they realize that they are in fact nut-jobs and just want to know that they are not alone. Or maybe they over-investigate you, look at your profile, and enviously, inconsiderately deduce that since you have so many best answers, how could you notice the absence of one more. OR, maybe it is THEY who are the chatters and gamers! Ha!
Just my opinion.
Remember- don't do it!!

No, yet they ought to supply the guy being stated the reason that they are being stated, and substances them a chance to regulate their answer in the journey that they opt to finish that previously completely deleting it. this may sparkling up countless false impression (if the excuses for the elimination of postings are valid). those who're uncertain on the theory will be knowledgeable. Abusive cloth that really needs to be constrained will be taken out in a more desirable honest way - a minimum of the guy who wrote that's going to recognize the truth. And in the journey that they don't consider the reason they could then communicate about it on the communicate board and get the opinion of others. even if it really is through presidential order (or from politicians) - why not state so. If political ability communities may have an answer or question bumped off why shouldn't they be referred to as doing so? If Yahoo really is making an attempt to be a severe communicate board and under no circumstances a stooge of the "Powers that be" and coaching censorship to curry choose with the effective, why not keep this out interior the open.

Some people don't want opinions, they want reaffirmation. They want to feel like their way of thinking is okay. Maybe they don't want to read through an answer that's very clear and logical.
They want instant gratification, like "Ooooohhhh she agrees with me" and that's it.
Yes, I have found that I can give a very clear logical explanation in my answer to the question only to have it overlooked. That's one of the reasons I avoid some people's questions. I know they don't care what I have to say and are going to choose an answer that's simple. I don't see the point in wasting my time with them...
I used to care about that but now I know that some people don't want what I am willing to give. It's upsetting but it's a fact of life.
You can't win all the time.

From my point of view, I would have to say that when I ask a question...in P&S, I'm either looking for an amusing answer...or one that mirror's my own opinions and feelings. I think that's just human nature. That is not to say, that a well written argument against my opinion isn't appreciated and sometimes actually chosen as BA, because sometimes someone (like yourself) can write so well, the new opinion opens up a new way of thinking. I'm more disturbed by the one word answers to questions...just not a lot of thought at all...more like game playing really...and I guess that's fine, but when people recognize that as being a best answer, it says to other answerers..."hey...don't bother giving me a real answer...I don't really want one"

Half the people here only award BA if someone agrees with them. What's worse is that when several posts actually have a correct answer, the asker awards the BA to some idiot who doesn't actually answer the question, but has an answer that the asker finds funny.

Those people who just answer yes annoy me. It's obvious they're just getting the 2 points and leaving again. I always give them thumbs-down for being cheap in their answers.
But I find that people actually do ask proper questions in P&S. Maybe your idea would work in places like Religion & Spirituality where most of the questions are just insults to some other belief system.
