I know the answer to this, because I studied long and hard, my son, and meditated for many years, sitting cross-legged in the swami position on a mountainous hillside retreat. I braved the cold winds, the torrential rains beating on my face, but still I never moved as I considered the question "Why?".
And then, one day, like a bolt of lightning, I suddenly knew the answer! Realisation came to me and I uncrossed my legs and ran around on my mountainside screaming "Yippee, now I know".
And I came down from my mountain, wiser than before.
And you think that, after such sacrifice and heart-searching, that I'm going to tell YOU what this was.....?????????? No way, find out for youself!

All I can say is just because it takes 42. Generally, I would say something else, but we know that the answer to all questions must be definitely this number. LOL

Because it was green, not blue and everybody thought it was blue. Everyone then got upset over the confusion and the fights started. Then the good fairy turned it blue and that...is why.
