Absolutely. Remember, we have a Democratic Congress, not just the House even though it's only a 1 vote majority in the Senate. No more open check book for Bush's war in Iraq. No more undisclosed pork projects snuck into legislation (pork may not stop, but at least it will be transparent). An attempt to get the deficit under control. They've already passed legislation to xray all cargo. A Democratic Congress cannot work miracles or undo the damage already done to our world reputation, but at least they are doing something! The last Congress squandered it's power and barely even met to conduct business. Frankly, anything would have been an improvement. At least now Bush will be forced to compromise and the Congress can end this mess in Iraq by cutting spending.

The Democrats have already told George that his days of writing a blank check for Iraq are over. Bush is a lame duck President now, or just lame.

I think there'll be more gridlock and bs-ing from both sides frankly with not alot getting done because the posturing for the 2008 elections has already begun.

Bush will have a much harder time doing what he wants.That's a good thing.
