If u have yahoo messenger then first add the contacts of ur wish and if see u their in ur yahoo the person who r online will be shown with smiling yahoo messenger image... if u dont have the messenger then first download it..... if u do then u will surely get the knowlegde of chatting....

1.if u don't have any friend's contact but u simply want to chat with someone.
-goto yahoo messenger
-login using ur yahoo id
-goto to messenger menu
-move to yahoo chat
-select join room
-here u will find many chat rooms,u can select one by ur interest.
-start chatting
2.if u have the contact of friends
-start the yahoo messenger
-u can see ur online friends
-start chatting

If they want to chat they will make themselves visible other wise you wont know they are there :) on yahoo messenger
