Cisco. From the rumblings I have heard I would choose Cisco's unified messaging system, it has really taken off and come a long way and they are pouring millions of development dollars into it to develop it further. Also, when you look at the licensing features, there is much more integrated with no license required, all you need with Cisco is the IP phone license and you're done. If you already have a Cisco network infrastructure in place, then definitely look to run any/all Cisco unified communications products over it. In addition, in terms of market share, Cisco is gaining, over 20% market share now, and Alcatel is losing some ground, and there are still many stability questions as Alcatel and Lucent are still getting used to their merger, which barely passed with 50% of shareholder approval and with 9,000 job cuts coming soon.

i have seen Cisco Call Manager integrated with Microsoft's CRM 3.0, and it looked great!
