Air conditioner? This time of year? OK, first, if you have a circuit that keeps tripping then you have an electrical problem. This could be because there is a short inside of thew air conditioner or an electrical problem in your wiring. But with the circuit tripping only when you turn the air conditioner on I'd say your problem is in the air conditioner. Replace it.

Get in contact with an Air Conditioner certified company and get it checked out.

What is likely happening is that something crawled into your Air Conditioner and has shorted it out causing it to trip the switch.

There should be a switch outside your house near the unit to switch off the unit completly do this as it would be a safe idea to do so.

Do not go opening anything up get someone to check it out for you asap

Good day. Did you check the fuse or breakers to see if they are blow en? If they are o.k. I would want a service person to have a look at it.
