Well I think she is not getting even half of the fame she actually deserves. She was the first Indian female to reach such high ATP ratings, the men have not even reached closed to that mark. We Indian worship cricket and cricketers and look what we get, complete tour of SA was a disaster. When was the last time Sachin won the man of Series or Sehwag made more than 200-300 runs in a series. Aware of all this we still worship them. Look at Sania Mirza she is one man army, single handed fighting the world (in tennis) and then to sum it all the laurels she is getting for India are also note worthy, so do you think she is really getting the fame she actually deserves or is she being undervalued. As for beauty aspect, beauty does not wins you games or laurels, with her it has been beauty and the brains (talent) which is a rare combination but yet is available here and world acknowledges of same.

Sania is a good player but India is ruining her by giving her the star status too early in her career. u must remember bhupati and his partner earned that status....they became good players and then they were famous. Sania is famous before she was a good player. She is getting more fame by just participating in tournaments....She is behaing like Kournikova....who played for a few years and now just modeling.,...i bet Sania will get the offer to work opposite Shah Rukh Khan and that will be the end of a player, the only player who can win a grand slam for india.

Ever wonder why women get into bars without a cover charge and men pay double? Well Bhupati is gonna work twice as hard to get to where Sania made it in probably half the time too.

I don't think it's fair. Paes and Bhupathi still deserves more attention than what they are getting. All the slams they won looked gone when Mirza came in and she is treated like she won a slam!!! When all she won was beauty internet pollls!!!

Yes, she is getting more attention, but what the hell? in a country devoid of sporting heroes other than cricketers, sportsppl need all the attention and encouragement as possible.
