I have a change in physics teacher this year

I can't adapt to her teaching methods and she has a monotony voice. Due to this, I have a hard time concentrating in class and I tuned her voice out most of the time.

what shall I do? I can't fail my upcoming physics test!

You could get a message indirectly and anonymously to the head teacher pointing out the problem. For example, by getting one of your parents to get someone from the Parent Teacher Association for your school to approach the head teacher.

If you find the teacher boring and its affecting your work, I'm sure other kids do too.

------------

For your physics test, you may not have made a note of all the points and topics that the teacher talked about, as you were falling asleep. First, compare your notes with your class-mates notes and assemble a complete list of topics covered. Then look up each topic on wikipedia, using 1 or 2 words for the name of the article such as 'momentum', or google for other articles on the net using terms like 'momentum homework help'.

If there's anything you don't understand, ask on here. Its a lot quicker than reading a 300 page book. Make sure you really understand it and haven't just memorised things parrot-fashion. Go deeper by clicking link-words in wikipedia articles for words or terms or topics you don't already know.

See if there is any way you can get hold of a document from your physics teacher or someone else at the school that shows the whole sylabus (list of topics) for the year's physics course. If they won't give it to you, get your parents or PTA to lean on them. You have a right to know what you're supposed to be doing.

For important exams, find out what the format the test is and which examining board it is. Get some past papers from their website to study. You can also buy Revision Guides (books) for particular subjects and particular exam boards. Just search on www.amazon.com or www.amazon.co.uk for 'Physics Revision Guide'. There will be ones for different levels of exam (in the UK, GCSE, A Level, etc). They are extremely good. They show you a typical schools sylabus, teach you the key points of the topics and how to revise them and show you what past papers are like. They also include advice for preparing for and sitting the exam.

If you're not doing such a formal exam, just remember/bookmark/print this for later.

You may have to get a few dollars from your parents to pay for these, but tell them its important for your qualifications and future earnings. Try answering some past papers and get class mates or your physics teacher to give you some feedback.

You might also ask another question on here such as 'What are good study techniques for physics tests?', with detail on which country you're in, your age and type of school, what type of test it is, etc, so people give the right advice. Also, google for articles on study techniques or methods.

well its the cost of your studies then the best way to do it is given below:

just ask someone sitting in the front bench what the teacher tought(ask someone intelligent) then write the details in your rough book. then just go through the points at home read the chapter, find the points read the whole thing and pass your physics test. below are some stinky and boring and costly methods:

extra classes
tutions
guides
educational institutions

If it is for GCSE, I highly reccommend the CGP revision guides. My GCSE teacher was quite poor and I found that the CGP guides were the primary reason that I achieved a 'B' grade!
