If I had to choose between the two, I would much rather be blind than deaf. I couldn't imagine being deaf and having to give up all of the beauty of music. Music is very important to me, and I love to sing. If I were deaf, I would have a very difficult time communicating with people. Sure, I could use sign language, but I would only be able to freely communicate with others who also knew sign language. I would need to use an interpreter in order to make myself fully understood in a number of situations.
I firmly believe that if I were blind, I would be much happier. I would learn how to use a vision cane and how to read and write Braille, but I would still maintain my independence. I would be unable to drive, but I could still enjoy music and communicate freely with those around me. These things are by far more important to me than sight.

I would rather be deaf than blind.
If I was deaf I feel I would be able to cope better than if I was blind. When I go to kitchen in the night I sometimes find it a bit tricky.
Have to say though I know a blind person and he does more things than I previously thought was possible for a person who is blind.

Deaf, I already know some of the sign language for the deaf, and it would be harder to get around while blind.

That's hard! I want to say blind, because then I could still listen to music and follow movies (I never watch them properly, I just listen even now). However, then I want to say deaf because then I can still read and drive a car and other superficial things like that. Erm... if I had to choose, probably deaf... still, will pray that never happens. :)

Honesty here. I love women and cannot think of never in my life looking at one and on the other hand I'm a musician and cannot think of what my life would be without music. So there you have it. I'm torn. But thinking deeper, if I was born deaf I would've never fallen in love with music and could've learned to sign. So there, I would choose deaf. 2 POINTS!

It's a tough choice to make, but I guess I would rather be deaf.
I have a friend who has gone blind, and I know how much she misses "seeing" the things we take for granted. She has a "seeing-eye" Dog, who is a love, but as much as everyone loves him, she says it still does not make up for all shes missing, plus she now has to put all her faith in her furry friend. Takes some getting used to, as she was a very independent gal.
