Feasibility Study

As part of the needs analysis, the feasibility of the project, including a cost/benefit analysis, should be determined. Basically, this is a process of establishing whether the wants and needs can be achieved within the project constraints (budget, schedule, personnel, and skills). How extensive and critical the feasibility study is depends on the size and nature of the project. You may wish to undertake an initial risk assessment.

A cost/benefit analysis of the potential solutions may also be done to guide the selection and support the proffered solution.
