If you've read Stephen King's `The Shining' (or seen the film), in the intro he tells you why he was interested in writing that story, you'll know where I am coming from. I've been `aware' from young.. knowing things without any prior knowledge of the situation. I'm going to be running an ESP group in Feb to explore further.. What do you think (please keep it polite & respectful, if you're not "in to" this sort of thing, respect to you - everyone to their own).

Use to when I was young. Didn't like it. Never showed me enough to stop it from happening. I prayed to either show me enough or take it away. Rarely happens anymore.

DREAM 1.:For six months I dreamt that there was a severe earth quake and that I am an over anxious father whose son is studying in a boarding school just up the road and that when the earth shook there was a bring golden sky for a short while, lights went out.I have a bad habit of leaving my car keys around but in the dark I could lay my hands on the car keys, run to the garage and reached the school within minutes and saw that the water in the schools swiming pool was shaking and the moon light was there too with the moon reflecting in the water. I heard children rushing down the stairs from their dormitories chirping away discussing the earthquake fortunately no damage was reported.
When this fateful day came there was an exact replay of this dream I had for six months continuously!! What could be the cause I don't know.

DREAM II : I dreamt that the moment my son's holidays started I and my wife and son on a holiday abroad. To reach the International airport we had to go by train.Somewhere in between my son asked for a cold drink.I got off to get it and the train took off. When I got near the train the train got subdivided into three trains!! We had a nice holiday in the Benelux but when we came back the family started disintegrating and we all went into three different directions!! Any explanations?

DREAM III:My wife was a habitual dreamer. Whenever she would dream of air crash next morning I would switch on the TV the first news would be the air crash(es)!! Any explanations??

I've had it happen a few times and heard of it from several other people as well. The most distressing time was when a collegue came into work almost in tears. He had dreamt that his neighbour was going to die and within a day or so it had happened. He felt he should have been able to prevent it somehow which quite clearly he couldn't.

It's a fascinating subject. I think there is no doubt that there's something in it but the problem is it's very inconsistant and therefore hard to study. My eldest daughter definitely had psychic abilities when she was younger. Even now her sister refuses to play cluedo with her because she always wins. Good luck with your research.

I do believe the term for what your experiencing is called "Precognition." I have had them since I was very little. Do you keep a journal recording these dreams you have? It really helps and if you plan on doing further studies you can refer to these dreams or notes. I keep a journal on cd so I can take it with me. I have recorded every dream. The last one I had was regarding times to come, end of war and I think a promise of a new world. There were no dates or times though.

when i was young, i had a dream that there was this city was hit with a powerful earthquake. mind you, i was young. this happened 3 months before the actual earthquake hit in california years ago (1990's???).

the weird thing with me is that i've been working on a story for over 10 years now (not published) and everything that i've written years before actually happened to me later in life. to explain, when i create plots and scenes for my story, i listen to music while lying in bed and go into a trance-like state. sounds odd, but that's how it is. everything that i've written in my book has come true and i fear the worst because bad things are coming our way.

i think a group would be a good idea, where's the group going to be running.

Ive had experience of this before sometimes knowing a certain place before ive been there, dreamt of something that was going to happen and what would be said only for it to happen exactly how i dreamt it. I find all these kind of areas fasinating.

yes this happens to me, really bizarrely I have learnt to control them. If I have a vision or dream I manage to forget it about an hour after me waking up or the vision happening and so I don't then feel so weird when I know occurance has happened.
It's the same with spirits, when they come to me, if I am not in the mood for them I send them away, unless I feel its okay for them to be there or if I feel I have drawn on them for whatever reason.

I have only a few times. But, I can sense when someone is going to die. I don't mean those that are dying from cancer or some other life threatening disease, but those that die from accidents. I get this feeling of unease being around them. I just want to get away from them. It is usually about 1 week before they have died.
