It is a Doctorate, which means you can do it if you want to after finishing your Masters degree or later on in life.
It takes 3-7 years to complete and you basically choose a subject youre interested in and read a lot about it before finally writing your own new findings and putting them into a proper dissertation style 30,000 - 50,000 word book.

A doctorate degree. It means the person went to college for an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree and then continued on in their field of study to get a doctorate degree. It can take as little as 3 additional years past the graduate degree, depending on thier major. However, it usually takes much longer.
