There are various theories about the origin of humans,
religious theory and natural evolution are the most popular ones
don't mix them,
the most probable scenario seems for me to be the natural evolution by random modification of DNA
which causes that individuals with better or more favourable features have better chances to reproduce themselves
they say that by the analysis of DNA they found out that the first human (h-o-m-o sapiens sapiens)
lived 200,000 years ago in southern Africa.
He or she lived probably in a horde of its foregoing human species (h-o-m-o erectus or whatever it is called) and
could survive long enough to reproduce himself/herself because of being better adapted and conditioned to life.
You can call the first human Adam or Eve, that is your choice.
I do not negate the religious theory - it just seems less probable to me.

Genius question. If man was evolved from apes, then in order that the new evolution called "man" would continue (by engendering new born child) it is necessary that there should be a new evolution called "woman", and these new evolution (man and woman) should be evolved at the same time and at the same place. What is the probability that this event would be possible?? maybe 1 to billions of trillions: it is not possible scientifically that this event would occur just by "chance".
Let suppose a man would be evolved before 10 billions of years, and let suppose a woman would evolved also before 10 billions of years; what are the chances that they will meet in the earth at the same place and at the same day?? To conserve the new genes and chromozones of the man, he must make a child with a woman having the same genes and chromozones.
The evolution is not science, it is a kind of theory that is not scientifically proved.
The BIBLE told us a story about ADAM and EVE which is much more logical and makes sense more than the evolution theory.

The Bible was written about 2500 to 3000 years ago. That really isn't that old geologically speaking. So when did Adam and Eve live?? The Bible doesn't say. You can count the begets and get somewhere around 6000 years ago. But Adam didn't write about himself in the Bible, that was left for recollection of much later generations who spoke from their traditions.
So what does science say? Science supports the theory of evolution, and suggest that humans descended from more primitive forms such as ape-like anthropoids in Africa. Around 50,000 years ago there was a near extinction of the human race. All the earth's populations can trace themselves to a mitochrondrial Eve about this time. Then these first modern men left Africa and started migrating around the world.

The story of Adam and Eve is the story of civilization, not evolution. Evolution occurred in Africa, probably in Chad (at least that's where the fossils are coming from) but the diasporas out of Africa show the first successful civilizations in Iraq (between the Tigris and Euprates rivers.) Science also shows what the term a 'bottleneck' of genetics, where mitochondrial DNA has all come from a single family of women. (Mitochondria is always passed through the mother, so we have no way of testing for men.)
I have never found in the Bible the belief about the earth being 6,000 years old though. That number was derived by counting names in the geneologies of the Bible, and multipying by 20, but those geneologies never claimed to list all the people in the families. and by comparing one list with another list, you can see that sometimes a person is listed as a son, and sometimes as a grandson. The geneologies are there to point to the Christ, they are not a definitive historical answer.

Humans evolved from earlier species of primates, for sure. The religious story of creation including Adam and Eve as the first literal people is certainly false. Some people choose to believe that the story is a metaphor about how humans first gained the ability to discern right from wrong.

Humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor millions of years ago. Based on scientific evidence, such as the fossil record and artifacts, much of early human evolution occurred on the continent of Africa. Other species of humans evolved and eventually migrated out of Africa to Europe and Asia. If you want to get brainwashed to believe Adam and Eve were the first humans to walk the face of the Earth, then go ahead.

Humans do not evolve from apes. Sure humans and apes have a lot in common, but that doesn't mean anything. God created Adam and Eve. Read Genesis in the Bible.

The existence of the first humans has been confirmed by DNA. In fact, we are all descended from the same two ancesters. The scientists who discovered this even refer to them as "Adam and Eve" even though they have not all come from a religious background
Aside to "Jen" It is impossible for one THEORY to discredit another, unless that theory is proven to be a fact, at which point is no longer is a theory but indeed is a fact. Evolution is not proven, and even though it is presented as a fact in our academic indoctrination mills, it is far from proven. There are no transitional fossils, the probabilities of all these mutations happening accidentally and in the right direction are astronomically against it, especially in a finite universe, which is what this is. Most mutations are not constructive anyway, but destructive. They dont give any species an advantage, but usually result in a handicapped individual who wont survive very long at all. Please question your beliefs, either they are right and you will know why you believe them, or they will be wrong and you will know that.

if Adam and Eve were the first humans then we would all be related right? do the words incestuous sex mean any thing to you? and sense the bible condemns incest sex...well them the whole human race is wrong and condemned to hell. Now that is enough a me being able to think for my self, time to go back to believing in god and his magic wand.

There are those who wish to close their eyes and ears and sing the mantra Bible, Bible, Bible, but they have no credibility and no evidence. The mountain of evidence is that humans are are type of animal, a type of ape actually, closely related to chimps. Chimps evolved from bipedal apes as did we. Chimps probably moved back into the forest, grew upper-body musculature, became quadrupedal (knuckle walkers), and evolved into the arboreal creatures we see today. Evolution is extremely interesting and compelling. Fairy tales like Adam and Eve are ridiculous.
