It is natural that now your period lasts 7-8 days. However, as you are getting older, your period will start getting stabilised and it will last about 4-5 days only, after 4-5 years.

Periods can take up to three to four years to become regular. Anywhere from 2-8 days is considered a normal flow. Increased gas production is normal. It's not dangerous, but it is annoying.

Birth control pills can block this change in gastrointestinal function by virtue of the inhibition of ovulation and the hormone changes that go along with ovulation. But if you're only 15, your parents may not like the idea of you on birth control pills.

I'm 17 and I've been having periods for about 4 years and i don't have a specific cycle as it changes, its all down to hormones and i can also take a few years to settle into a proper cycle. my cycle ranges from 5 to 7 days but every person is different best is to just wait it out because your body will sort itself out but sometimes women just have irregular cycles and that is the normal for them. your still young so just wait and your periods should get better. but if your still worried talk to your mom after all she will probably have gone through it before as we tend to be like our mothers but you can also talk to female doctors or nurses at your local surgery or general health clinic.

Drink Noni herbal fruit juice twice a day with water for about six months. It will streamline your system.
