Are there any official release dates? If so, where will this be released first and for how much? I believe it will be available in the UK by Christmas but I want one now! :-)

June is the offical launch date in the US - do not be tempted to import one. Chances are it will be locked to Cingular (the US mobile carrier Apple has chosen to work with) and unlocking it (if possible) would invalidate your warranty. Plus, with such a screen dependent product, we don't want a repeat of the nano screen problems.

The announced date for the UK is Q4 (Oct / Nov / Dec) so read this as just in time for Christmas. However, expect limited availability and possibly limited networks, there is every chance that Apple will limit the networks this is available on to just one or maybe two. Price could be as high as £300 WITH a contract.

Its not even in full production yet. Usually products like this take at least one year from official first showing to distribution.

"The phone, which will cost from $499 (£257) to $599, will be launched in the US in June and Europe later this year.

Apple is not yet saying how much the iPhone will cost in the UK, but using the comparison of a Mac mini computer the 4 gigabyte (GB) model would be about £335. "

They are releasing it in america in june, it is only one network that they will be ablr to use and comes with a 2 year contract.

It will be released in the UK at the end of the year, don't know exact price for europe or what networks you would need to use.
