Are we growing farther and farther apart or closer and closer together. . .
seems odd. . . ?

I've been like that lately lol. Not talking to myself, but just keeping to myself, and away from other people. I'm 15 in high school, and life really sucks right now.

True what you had noticed that more and more people are talking to themselves, these days, you should also know that todays world is full of stress, people are busier, than ever trying to make ends meet, so all this is stressful. Those who talk to themselves to dont even notice it.

It has to do with a lot of thinking in someone's mind, and when the brain is overloaded and especially when all your thinking has no solution one ends up taking to oneself. Am stressing it's STRESS.

yes we are fastly becoming a population that feel more at ease communicating via email and cell phones instead of taking the time to visit with other people. we are in the beginning stages of becoming hermits.

cell phone headsets and ipods have disconnected everybody, if you hear someone talking now they are either on the phone, singing with their tunes or talking to themselves, it's too bad
