Hi there. Well, there are many factors that goes into why your internet is so slow. Here are some reasons.
1) Internet cache's too full
2) Possible virus/worms/etc. infection
3) The earthquake off the coast of Taiwan caused damage to some undersea cables.
4) Too many programs running at the same time.
etc.

The solution?

1) Deleting your internet cache will help. If you're using IE, click on Tools menu, Internet Options..., under Temporary Internet Files heading, click on Delete Files... button.
2) Get an antivirus or antimalware program and run it. Google search for freewares or sharewares, lots out there.
3) There was some damage to the internet lines when that earthquake happened. Depending what site you visited that was slow, it could have been overseas and rerouted many times.
4) Running too many programs will tend to slow down your internet browsing as it ties up your CPU/memory/hdd. Try to limit how much programs u have running or loaded.

Oh btw, you can try running defrag and scandisk as well, doesn't hurt to do them.

Hope this helps! :-)

There are files that slow down the Pc very very much and they aren't important and the OS deletes them anyways every month or week or so.These files can be found in:

Well if it's not just you, some Asian sites are somewhat slower because an undersea fibre optic cable around Taiwan has been damaged. I expect it should be done soon.
