I don't see a new party creation. In my opinion one of the old parties would have to split. Namely the Democrats. If you look at them they are several parties lumped into one. Some of their elements are so different I've often thought of them as a powder keg waiting to go off... To develop a multi party system the government would have to make it plausible to do so. Change some structure, all within the frame of the Constitution of course. The reason the Dems have so many elements is because they have to bind together to get anything done. The change would seem so radical that I wouldn't give it much hope even though I think it would make the USA more balanced in the long run...

There is a 3rd party already, all of those who make up the middle, we just haven't asserted ourselves yet. Did anyone watch the last few episodes of West Wing? I think we should run a McCain / Lieberman option. They are closer to each other than either of their parties. They are honorable people, they don't get into all the mud slinging, and they have the 'decorum' I would like to see returned to American politics. This is the only way I think we can de-polarize America.

What a GREAT, if utopian, question!!! You must have a philosophical mind. I can tell you what I would do.
First of all it would be an anthropocentric party, simply centered around the needs of human beings, not corporations. Therefore:
I would look ahead, not behind and I would welcome new ideas without rigid reactions. New ideas concerning the health, housing, schools, jobs, civil rights, and civil liberties of my fellow people.
Then, I would try to break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our foreign policies.
Just this much without writing a book.

Mine would be the National Capitalist's Party; too many people are beating up on them these days, and I believe they are the life blood of American prosperity. My party would also be for less govermental intrusion into people and businesses' affairs. A very good question!

I would start the Common Sense Party. It would try to not control everything.

Non-interventionist foreign policy, cannabis legalization, open government, actual SHRINKING of governmental power/control, and a complete end to the use of our government as scheme to line your pockets at the taxpayer's expense. All 3 branches are still functioning, albeit unlawfully, thanks to the People's silent consent, or so it seems..
