Computers send information over LAN at the same time.

If 2 people start talking at the same time, they stop and wait a bit before trying again. Its the same with computers, with the "You First" "No, after you" talk.

Collision is a technology to avoid the data or bit colision on the network usuallt on ethernet

collision occurs because two or more station in network use the same media to transmit packets.
In collision two or more signals are scrambled and cannot be accepted by reciever.
