You can get separate fom you inlaws and live separately There should be no harm . You disclosed that your hubby is not in favour of separation. Here the problem of adjustment arises. If you can adjust with the joint family of your hubby and live happily without any complaint, it is the best course to adopt . By making compromise with your husband, you wil win the favour of your husband which is very much plus point. I therefore advise you to be cool and try to adjust yourself with the joint family system of your husband and you will win the game. Do not take to your heart. This is not a big problem. Good Luck

Try to get economically independent first (earn income !).
Express your difficulties in a calm manner to your husband and inlaws one by one separately and try to work out a solution.
If not successful, escalate matter to your parents or a senior common friend who can mediate.
If all fails, serve an ultimatum to ur hubby !
