Dear pal, if I found something of value and knew who it belongedd to, I would definately give it back. Talk of value, it doesnt cost to be honest, and most of all the blessing of ones honesty, suppose it was you who has lost that something of value, wont you be grateful if some good samaritan turns and give it back. My house was broken in 2001 and every thing of value were taken including gold jewellery mine and my daughters which I have been struggling to buy since I started working, they were classic and made from Bahrain, that day my daughter called me and asked if I had come home, whereby I work far from town and never come home for lunch, I knew something was terribly wrong, and the first impression I got was somebody must have seen through my house and our jewellery was all gone, I had to rush home, and it was exactly that.

Neighbors, relatives and everybody who heard came home to say sorry, it was as if somebody had passed away. I consoled my self, I didn't think of what happened but my girls, who were there, they had just left for shopping and when they returned home everything was upside down, I thought what if the intruder came when the girls were alone, what could they have done to them, so I always thank God for their safety and today I believe that there's nothing of value than soul, we would not buy soul with whatever money.

Until now I have not been able to buy what I had lost and its no longer a priority. So honestly why would I not give back.

That would depend entirely on the item, the person to whom it belonged and the effort it would require to return it to them.

For example, somebody rich, who I did not like who left their wallet stuffed with cash lying around is going to have to pick it up from lost property - minus the fistful of cash I would take as my fee for the inconvenience of having to tidy up after them.

On the other hand, a computery thing I didn't know how to work, belonging to somebody I respected would be delivered free of charge.

Anything belonging to a good looking lady would be returned at a venue of my choosing which offered opportunity for a social occassion to be made of the situation... and if it ended up back at her place getting sweaty between the thighs, so much the better.

I will first evaluate the value of the item I found and the value it means to the person to which it belongs. If he/she really values and lost it by just mistake, I will return. If I found his/her negligence, I will better keep the valuable item with me. The Value remains nothing if u are not abe to handle that Item. U are not worth holding the items which u cannot protect, nourish, care and fullfill its valuable needs.

Thanks,
Hrishikesh

Some thing? yes, well, I always have, but who knows, if it was a lot of money and times were hard, I would be tempted. I hope I would not give in and take it, But can you really answer that till you are there?

Yeah, definitely. I wouldn't feel comfortable with myself and I'd always have the thought that they'd find out it was me who took it in the end. That would then typecast me as a dishonest thief and I'd lose the respect of a lot of people and would possibly get booted out of my job (if this is where you've found it?).
