Actually a PS3 alone does not allow the dance pads to hook in because there is nothing to hook into... yet. Sony is planning to release an adapter very soon for controller input so that accessories like the dance pads, guitar controllers, beatmania controller, light guns, taiko drums, and so much more can be directly hooked into the system. I have a feeling this accessory will be necessary if any dance games come out for the PS3.

its possible that it will be compatible because the ps2 controllers are supossed to be able to work.
