good question Lucy ..

there is a certain amount of public interest that *demands* to know all about Kate and Wills.... and from what i have seen The Royals have been pretty generous with the media .

The media will always *HUNT* people of public interest , and will do so in the most invasive manner... as it is the public that creates the market...

People should not want to see photographs of Kate's nasal hairs ( as a picture i saw tonight would have shown).. they SHOULD want to see a happy young woman who is in love .. BUT they shouldn't want to make that woman miserable by invading her personal space and privacy.

I really wish Kate and Wills well , if indeed the rumours are true and an engagement is going to take place soon. They have had the luxury of pairing up for love and not as a breeding pair .. like poor charles and Diana were.

Yes but more importantly people should stop buying the newspapers & magazines.

The public see a picture of a celeb in a mag and then read the story. These same people are the ones that don't want pictures of Kate being taken. It's like saying horse racing is cruel, but betting on the grand national.

Yes. I am a journalist myself, but I hate the behavior of some of my "colleagues" who litterally would d anything for a snap shot of a celeb or high profile person.

They should leave the girl alone. She is just a girl, who happened to have found love with a prince. And how aweful must it be for HIM to see history repeat itself. Now it is not his mum, but his girlfriend.

If I would be in charge, I would start fining journalists for every unwated picture of Kate and her guy. Some of you would fprobably see this as an act against freedom of expression, which is a human right. But privacy is a human right too!

What does she expect - she is going out with the future King of England and there is talk of an engagement in the air. Does she or William honestly think that she won't be photographed?! Diana loved the press and after a couple of years had the frightened deer caught in the headlights look off to a T. The paps didn't kill her - she died in car crash as far as I remember - being driven by a drunk driver.

If she - or any other celebrity for that matter - really does not want to be photographed then maybe she could try wearing a Niqaab ! Sounds daft I know, but no face equals no marketable photo. Don't have to wear it all the time - but keep it in bag for emergencies - such as confronting the press. Just need a fashion designer to come up with a celebrity niqaab design.....

The media needs to be reeled in a bit. They have way too much power and not enough morals. They killed poor Princess Diana with their need to know her every move. You would think that they would learn their lesson.

Prince William lost his Mother to media frenzy. I doubt he'll allow it to happen to his wife, should they marry. Charles cared nothing about Diana. That's the difference.

I think they've finally realised that they don't want to kill another goose that lays the golden eggs! The harried and chased Diana to her death - imagine how William must feel. I'm no great lover of the royals (in fact I couldn't care less) but I don't want to see another pointless death.
