I have three buffalo nickels how much are they worth?

your question is vague , condition, mint marks, date all play into the value. lots of buffalo nickels are dateless. you can raise the date with an acid you can get from any coin dealer, but a raised date coin has little value it just satisfies the curiosity.. in my younger days when I was first married (1970) when I went to a restaurant I would leave a small pile of dateless Buffalo nickels as the tip. often I would see the waitress, or waitperson get very excited over this, but in reality I had stiffed them on there tip.

I collect buffalo nickels and they are not worth very much unless you come up with the 5 legged buffalo. It was a mistake with the press. they are very rare. but check out the back legs on yours. they can be worth 20 to 50 dollars depends on condition.

More info required:
1) what date? If the date is still there(bottom left of the Indian's head).
2) from which mint? If you notice any small D or S alphabet under the words 'five cents'.

With out the dates and mint marks if any all you will get is either dumb answers or people like me says we need more info. By the way the mint marks are on the Buffalo (actually Bison) side below the words five cents.

Worth is determined by how much someone is willing to pay. As is goes, you may get $1 each, unless they are graded (as to the condition they are in) by a numistics person.

If you found these in change, they probably aren't anything special as they have wear and tear. Keep 'em and give them to your grandkids some day.
