Well he got us to the Champions league and we won. We're not doing too bad on the premiership scoreboard either. So I say he's alright :)

As Liverpool Fans we need to look at where he has taken our club... and realistically where he still can take our club. Now... 2005, of course that was our Champions League Win. 3-0 down at half time... he must have done something right to change that. I know Gerrard inspired it and the will power of the player's did it, but he must have done something to help. Our Premiership position wasn't excatly what we were looking for though, finishing 5th but there we go. We also got to the League Cup Final losing to Chelsea unfortunately. Overall:
2004/5 9/10
2006 didn't start very well with our disappointing league start, but as the season wore on, things started to fall into place. However, losing to Benfica wasn't expected and it looked like a bit of a doomed season. Finishing 3rd was good in the end, and of course the FA Cup Final, which to be honest was largely down to luck, thanks to those wonder strikes from Gerrard.
Overall:
2005/6 - 8/10
This season has been far less satisfactory I think we will all agree. The signings have been largely disappointing, out of the League Cup and the FA Cup in embarassing circumstances. Our premiership form is good but how long will we hold out in 3rd with the top 3 visiting Anfield in the near future? We are even lucky to be there with a completely odd Benitez rotation policy earlier this season, which still confounds me. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating but I still believe Benitez has a future at the club. He did very well in his last two seasons but we can't solely judge him on two games can we?
Now... if our next season is like this one and we fail to reclaim our spot in the top 2 at least and show what a top club we are, then I will be the first to ask questions, but until then stick with him. We have doubted him before and he has come out on top. He has to be the man to win us the Premiership, well for the moment anyway.

Benitez have a weird mind i know
rotations... gerrard out of position...
he's playing with the legendary liverpool like a toy or so
i think firstly, the squad is inconsistant and lacks quality
liverpool doesn't really look like the team that won the champions league a few years ago
when they play, u can smell no hunger to win from them
i think they deserve all these thrashings

Although I do find pool fans a bit deluded, I do think that Rafa is a good manager and in fairness you cant judge a manager off a few bad results...
I think a lot of this all boils down to the fact that the fan expection greatly exceeds the clubs current potential
yeah yeah... european cup winners 2005, but most other football fans agree, liverpool was neither the best team in the match nor the whole competition.
Aston Villa and Milwall have got to FA cup finals in the last 6 years and would you consider them in the years to be 1 of the best 2 clubs in the competition?
the answer is a resounding... no.
Infact I would compare Villa's 82 cup win to liverpools, Villa didn't play well and didn't deserve to win the match, but they stole it fair and square.

No. I've been saying it for ages. I reckon he's lost the dressing room now and his days are numbered. Why he needs seventy strikers he doesn't play is a bit of a mystery, especially when he quite obviously needs a goalkeeper and a right winger - oh, no, my mistake, that Gerrard chap's a right winger, isn't he?

Yes he does. If you want my honest opinion, I think there is something going on behind the scenes (in recent weeks) that is affecting the club. I’m not sure what it is (the proposed takeover?) but there is definitely a vibe about the place?
