My DM has asked us to create complete bios on our primary and secondary characters (We keep one on tap in case we die). Being new to Eberron and fairly new to D&D in general, reading the books and attempting to find information has been slightly daunting for me. I was wondering if anyone had a "quick and dirty" list of things for me to consider for my character bio. Thanks!

Good Question!

When trying to create a backstory or bio for a character in any game or campaign, there are a number of good questions to ask. In fact, this is fairly common tool for both roleplayers and writers. There are a number of lists of such questions around, look through the list and pick a few (3-5 is the normal recommendation) to answer.

Here's a good one:

Obviously you'll need to adjust a bit for a fantasy character, you'll also want to consider what you know about Ebberon as well. Some things to think about.

How does your character view other races? Why? What experience do they have with the other races?

What does your character think of the surrounding nations? Do they think of them at all?

What's your character's view of magic? Dragonmarks? Psionics? Adventurers?

You don't need to know everything about your character right away. Often, cool ideas only hit after you've actually played the character for a bit. View your bio as just a basic framework, not the totality of everything your character has ever done or thought.
