I have a acer trvale mate laptop.Since of late when i scan for viruses or install a program the com[uter abruply shuts down corrupting the programs i was running at that time.
I tried formatting but after half way the compter shuts down on me.But i did do a quick format in reintalled.Its for king fine as long as i dont scan,run registry cleaners etc...is this a hard drive issue?
Any ideas?

Take it and get it serviced because it sounds like some major hardware problems. Possibly a damaged hard drive

Sounds like either a corrupt OS or hard drive. Other problems might be due to heat damage to the motherboard. You need to get it serviced.

do one thin get it serviced and than please install winxp sp1 it might solve it and at the lease u can change the ram and see it could be corrupting the registry
