To be a wise persen, they tell me to think a lot. But what should I think when I've got time meditating? What do you think about?

Zoe, meditate about a ''certain place'' you wish to be, enter a secret passage in your mind. Begin to feel in your heart and find your soul. surround yourself with an open field of flowers, clear streams, butterflies and the sound of birds chirping sweet melodies in your ear..... Or meditate about all the things in life which makes you happy.

Peace and Love

I think about my place in the universe.

What am I supposed to be doing?
What can I do to improve life?
Can I help someone, or should I learn something new?
Am I paying attention to the important stuff, and do I know what is going on around me?

Usually when we meditate or pray, we approach our quiet time with a grateful and willing attitude seeking answers.

If we are to think on anything .It should be upon the Lords word . So the thing is we read and then meditate on what we have read, which is to think about it and gain understanding of its meaning of the portion that we have read.If one would be wise then he or she must first hear. romans 10:17-mark 12:29 Come to God and learn of him and his son Jesus , where true wisdom comes from. Phillipians 4:8 -think on these things--the true, the honest, the just, the pure, the lovely, that which is of good report ,if their be any virtue and their be any praise think on these things. Think on investigating what the gospel of Jesus Christ entails according to the bible, youll have to read it to find out because men have many versions but when we read and understand the bible meaning and then check what we hear according to that word and they are the same then we know that we have heard bible teaching, think on these things.Acts 17:11 is a very good example of what i mean, read in the new testament about Christ and what he says all men must do to be saved----john 3:18 --luke 3:13---mark 16:16---matthew 28:19and 20. Seeking guidance ?,seek out a church of Christ , think on these things.

Meditating, I was taught, was to clear your mind of thought, to concentrate on the breathing, to aid in the elimination of thought. My best thinking is done after meditating because my mind has had a chance to slow down and clear. Focus is easier for me then with clearer results (and usually more reasonable too!)

Meditation is the sub-concisousness at work - a state of perfect knowledge. So try not to think.

Better still, start by observing thoughts come in and go out of your mind. Gradually, ignore the thoughts till they stop coming.....

well..its just a sort of relaxing....
but of course our mind is always at work..i mean..we're always thinking..
i always have a time for meditation..i sometimes meditate before i sleep or after doing all the things ive got to do..when i meditate..i usually think about my actions yesterday..my wrongdoings..or reflecting on the things or problems besetting us..i'm thinking of the right thing to do to solve such problems..but i found it ridiculous when im thinking about my problems..its not meditating at all...so sometimes i'm meditating with a soft music background...for relaxation..or im in a quiet place where i could see the sky..the stars..the mountains..or in short..im meditating with the beauty of nature....know what...you dont need to have something to think about when you want to meditate because meditation's purpose is to relax your mind..to rest...

Think nothing. Empty mind, simply experiencing the moment. No thought distraction. Enjoy. If thoughts come, note their prescence and let them go. You're simply the observer, eventually you'll get good at not going with them. Focusing on your breathing is the best way to do this to my way of thinking.

Meditation is actually "lack of thought."

The idea is to clear your mind of all of the clouded mess and relax. At that point, things that had been in your subconscious can surface on their own.

I try to NOT think, which is much harder than it sounds! This is a time for me to clear my mind of all the noise of the day.

I'm going to think about being in a tranquil place. I think you should try thinking about you're way up the clouds.
