Anyone Else read the review of the apple iphone launch?
Looks very sexy...thoughts?

I hear an 8 GB it is going to retail for $599

What does Ecky Boy stand for??? - I am sure you had one of those brick "mobile" phones when they first came out...and it would seem that you are prepared to spend time on one of these "damn computer contraption thingys" to answer the question and for that your input is appreciated.

iPhone is a good first attempt from Apple. However, I don't think it will be as hot as 'the next product that changes the world' Apple and some Wall Street analysts would have you believe. iPod is good because it does one thing and does it well - that is play music. Blackberry is good for similar reason - does email very well. Nokia phone does the basic phone function and have great user interface.
Apple is going against these very experienced phone manufacturers. How well their touchscreen keyboard works remain to be confirmed. People like a tiny keyboard on the phone because those keys give feedback when the key is pressed. The price point of $499 and $599 with 2 year contract are a bit steep for a consumer. If Apple is aiming at corporate users of Blackberry, what is the chance companies buying an iPhone for employee? We have not seen a lot of companies buy MAC for employee yet.
I like Apple, their MAC, iPod and their clean interface. iPhone is a good first attempt. We'll see how the market response when it comes out.

I have an Ipod and i also have a pretty decent mobile too I have a Nokia N73 with a 1gb mini sd card. Of course its a great idea in theory having a iphone, Motorola tried this once before and it was a flop, you could only get 100 tracks on it. My ipod has 20gb but I have tracks on my phone too, which the sound quality on my phone is actually better than the ipod.

why would you want to pay 400$ -500$ for an ipod with a phone. there are so many phones out now with better cameras eg 5 megapixel and also phones with 4gb memory for music. i think only die-hard apple fans will buy it although it does look quite stylish! plus its only available on the cingular network, which has 59 million subscribers. the US in total has 230 million mobile phone users, so not all of them will be able to get it :(

No, you can't digest an apple product but you can digest an apple or an apple employee. Make sure to keep them separate even though they have the same names.

Look very cool. People are gone be knocking down Cingulars door to get one. My only wish it had more memory I hope soon they come out with widescreen IPod.

if u want a i-pod..buy a i-pod!!!
Also, if u buy it, if u lose it or it goes wrong, ur i-pod and phone are both broke!!
Nope jus buy a Nokia and a nice MP3 player..

All these people saying it is crap, or they wont pay for one, will all be paying for inferior models when the rest of the mobile manufacturers try desperatley to catch up.

What a load of rubbish......it's blatantly not going to be as good as having a mobile phone...........how the hell can you tell using the silly touch screen....they are trying to hard.
