The world could exist without love but then would have to live without hate, the thing that fuels most people. So yes, in a way.

I think you need to distinguish between love, lust and obsession when you ask this question.
I do not think the world could be happy without love, that is, when lust & obsession are considered separately. And the human race (and a lot of other species) would die out without lust! Since you need living creatures to experience happiness, I don't think the world would be happy without lust, either.
Obsession is another kettle of fish. Most of us would be a hell of a lot happier if people weren't obsessive.

No. Without love a person's world never can be happy. to be happy you must love someone. It can be your family or friends or general people or yourself or God. Because a person lives for others. without love a human becomes a puppet.

People would be better off without love hate jealousy envy greed and so on. Strong emotions make the human race weak and agressive and mankind will never be happy as long as these emotions exist.

To someone they will be happy.They are always cruel and bad to others. But to most of the world, without love, nothing left. Maybe the son will never shine so brightly without your appreciation.

No. If you believe love is the cause for unhappiness, then you have never experienced true love. A person's unhappiness of love is actually unhappiness from lack of love. When a person says "Love stinks!" what they really mean is "Lack of love stinks!". And love toward your fellow man has never caused unhappiness. Quite the opposite, in fact.
