The Myth
I have heard that you can predict the gender of your baby by using the heart rate of your baby during pregnancy. It was said that 140+ beats per minute (BPM) was a girl and under 140 BPM was a boy. Is this true?
Baby Heart Rate Predicts Gender?
This has actually been a pretty popular theory in gender prediction for a long time.
The heart rate of your baby fluctuates as they grow and as they move. Heart rates start out slower, and then by 8-10 weeks run in the range of 170-200 BPM (beats per minute).
As your approach mid-pregnancy the average heart rates run between 120 - 160 BPM.
If your baby moves, his or her heart rate goes up, just as your heart rate does with movement. However, none of these is related to the gender of your baby.
A study was actually done to test this theory. The study actually shows that there is no correlation between gender and fetal heart rate. Although they did find a correlation between heart rate and gestational age prior to 9.2 weeks.

I don't think so. With my first pregnancy the baby's heartbeat was 165 beats per minute and now with my 2 pregnancy it is 170 beats per minute. The first one was a girl and this one is a boy. They can see on a scan from as early as 13 weeks into your pregnancy what the sex of your baby is. I am only 15 and a half weeks and they could see pretty clearly.
good luck and congrats

IT'S A GIRL!!! Not exactly, yet it is said that 140+ beats per minute (BPM) is a girl and under 140 BPM is a boy. This is just an old wives tale and there is no scientific theory to back it up. All three of my children had BPM's of 140+ and two of them did end up being girls.

Who cares? 142 is a normal healthy baby, that is all that should matter. Besides a baby's heart rate fluctuates over a 24hr period from 120 to 160 beats, your answer will not be accurate. Take guess yourself, you have a 50% chance of being right.

A baby's heartbeat gradually slows down throughout the pregnancy. A heartbeat of 165-170 is normal during early pregnancy, and 142 is normal in mid-late pregnancy. It is not a sign of sex.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant herehttps://tr.im/Z4c0l
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

i cant tell you the answer however i do have another old wives tale of telling the sex, and it has worked on every person i have done it on, including myself. get a neclace or something like a chain, peice of string ect and have a pendant or something else at the bottom to weigh it down, hold it over you bump and if it rotates in a clockwise or anti clockwise its a girl, and if it swings back and forth its a boy. im sure thats what it is, might be other other way around but im 99% sure thats right

You answered your own question....It is an old wives tale and the heartbeat won't tell you the sex of a child in the womb.
