When I try and compact my emails to free up disk space,(outlook express) another window opens that is copying them all into another folder. I panic and cancle the compacting process! I have done it heaps of times before and never seen that second window?

i work for the australian insitute of technologies i can tell you that if you have an anti-virus that will alert you unless bypassed. also try a scan online from etrust security. contact my email if you need more help.

Download and run HijackThis to check for any suspicious programs running in the background. You will need to get experts advice on which to remove from the list. I'm not too familiar with this area so cannot help much. I heard so many people have successfully fixed similar issue with this tool.

Download a firewall. This will tell you all incoming and outgoing traffic on your system. Whenever your computer tries to access something or some application tries to access your system you will be notified as well as information on the application. So you will be able to tell the application accessing the net and either deny or allow the access.

usually it would a smart person hacking you (so they would be inconspicuous) and they would do as a show of how "great" they are. But really the days of hacking are over and people manly use spyware

go to panda active scan and get checked out. is it saving to a temp folder?
