I think one of the reasons for this was the fact that he messed up SO bad the first term that people wanted to see how he was going to pull himself out of this mess. It obviously didnt do a darn thing except make this country worse and on the other hand very few americans voted for him because they actually liked him......why I will never know. Yeah I know I am a democrat but so what, i know that many republicans that voted for him are slapping themselves in the face and saying why did I do that? But this also brings another question I wondered about, who is dumber, George Bush himself, or the people that actually voted for him?

Bush had smart strategists like Karl Rove, who could figure out ways to get people to vote in a way that was not in their economic interest. There is a book called "Whats the Matter with Kansas" that attempts to explain why so many relatively poor people voted Republican. - For many of those people there were three big issues, which may be summarized, as "Guns, God and Gays-" By telling these people what they wanted to hear, Bush could concentrate on the things that he really wanted, such as tax cuts for his rich supporters.

Some because they are rich, and Bush favors the rich. The rest of us are nothing but peons to him, but tax cuts and subsidies for the rich...you know! Others because they bought all the lies from mainstream media, and from the administration itself. Doesn't make a bit of sense to me.!!!!!

Because he was the only candidate interested in protecting his country from terrorists. Democrats don't seem to want to do whatever it takes to keep us safe for some reason. At least, not until some public opinion poll tells them they should.

because they were wise enough to know he was the best candidate, based on doing what he said he would do.

nobody can blame him (the big thing was the WMD for the war) for the war because WMD were found in Syria just inside the border (Iraqi technology) and the fact that he was bankrolling Osama. He was found with american dollars on his person in a disgustingly large amount.
