I went off the pill last month as of Dec.3( my fiance and I want to get pregnant) and got my period on the 4th. It was completely gone on the 8th and I barley had cramps. It was spotting for the first day(only when I wiped) then the second day it got a little heavier(enought to fill a regular tampon). This is when I got mild cramping. The last couple of days it was light again(not as light as the beginning though) I just remember that last time I went off the pill for a month I had such a heavy period and really really bad cramps. My period usually lasts about 4 or 5 days but it is usually heavier. Could I be pregnant or is it just wishful thinking?

Out of 4 pregnancies, I had a period with 2. The second time, I was not fooled, but the 1st time this happened to me i was soooo shocked. The Doc just said that it happens sometimes.

Or, it could just be that your hormones are screwy from the Birth control stoppage.

Good Luck on making that baby!!....or congrats for allready doing it!

It could be wishful thinking on your part. If you are talking about getting your period on the 4th of dec then there is very little to no chance of pregnancy at all. If it is the 4th of Jan that you are talking about there is a chance that you could be pregnant but your body still needs to flush the rest of the BC outta your system and regulate after stopping these pills. As they are hormones and your body is used to the hormones being in your body. Take a preg test or go to the doctor to confirm a pos or a neg and if it is neg have fun trying again in the following month(s). Just remember what your cycle is so you can acurately predict ovulation. GOOD LUCK!!!

Use a home pregnancy test to know for sure. When stopping the use of some oral contraceptives their is an increase in fertility which means that pregnancy is more likely and spotting can still occur during pregnancy. It is probably wishfull thinking but a pregnancy test will tell.

Sorry but it sounds like your most likely not pregnant. You have only just come off the pill so give it time. Women are advised to have one proper natural pill-free period before they try to conceive anyway so don't worry about it.

just wishful thinking, someimes the pill builds up in the body and causes a light period the first after you stop taking it.
