Does switching Birthcontrol methods cause a late period?

My period is almost a week late and on January 3rd I switched from the pill to the shot. I should've got my period on Saturday. I know last month I had unprotected sex with my fiancee and I'm wondering is it possibly pregnancy or could it just be from changing birthcontrol methods.

I haven't had sex in almost a month. :-( The last time was in the middle of December.

Switching Birthcontrol most likely will cause your period to be different and off. The shot messed my period up something crazy. Just give it time sweetie and if you still haven't gotten it take a pregnancy test. Try to becareful just last month you thought you had a miscarriage possibly you are also stressing dear. Try to relax and maybe start using protection, but that's your choice. Good luck mamas.

Yes, changing methods will mess with your cycle. However, you should not have been having unprotected sex during the change, either. However, I doubt you are pregnant.
