If society didn't "accept" certain behaviors, do you think they would still occur as much as they do?

I'm not sure the same goes for all kinds of behavior, but society does have a huge influence on how common certain behaviors are. I'm sure that in some cases, if the behavior was less accepted by society less people would do it (although there would always be some who would do it). For example maybe people would drink less alcohol and avoid getting drunk if it wasn't considered normal and acceptable by society. There would still always be some people who would drink too much, but if it wasn't portrayed as something cool but rather as very unhealthy, immoral or pathetic then I'm sure less people would start drinking and many drinkers would try to hide their drinking.

Society can have a huge influence on behaviors, but no behavior can be completely eliminated, only reduced or forced to hide.

It's kind of crazy really how much control society has on the way individuals behave. Many people will behave badly if it's acceptable and will avoid doing (or hide) some things that harm noone but are less accepted or looked down upon by society. It's kind of funny really. Some people will go get wasted and behave like idiots while drunk and see nothing wrong with that while they hide childish toys they have because they're too embarrassed about still playing like kids. (I know people like that.)

people are gonna do what people are gonna do, society doesn't "let" them, but does glorify it, for some. it's only a cop out though. we are each responsible for our own individual actions. i would never assume i was "getting away" with something because society said it's okay. if i do something i think i might need to "get away" with, i don't do it. set your own standards, and live up to them.
