That would be wonderful, and I hope it happens. However, even the United States has its poor and mentally ill. So, just because most people are healthy, happy and have money, doesn't mean everyone will be.

Only if India is smart enough to stay out of the wars that are coming soon:
1) The Israeli attack on Iran which will probably occur within a few months, if not weeks and which will probably involve a limited use of nuclear weapons....
2) The allout power showdown between the US and it's allies versus China and Russia and their allies which will occur after the Beijing Olympics, a conflict that may escalate to involve a large-scale use of nuclear weapons and other WMDs as well.....

Five years is a bit soon, but I think the whole power structure of the world is shifting East. I think Iran and India are definitely moving up in the world.
