We always give names or terms to everything that is important, whether it's a living being or a dead thing. It makes it easier to express what we need.

We know each other by names. When you don't know somebody's name you can still describe them if necessary, which may help people know who you are talking about but it's more complicated than using names. If nobody had names, instead of searching for "Johnny" we'd search for "that tall, bearded guy with the dark hair and glasses". That would sort of become his new identity, almost like a name. Names are just shorter and simpler. Now, let's remove all those terms as well so that there will be no identity. How are you going to ask people where the person you need to talk to is? You need to find that particular person because he knows something in particular that you need to know.

Things would be a lot more complicated and harder if we didn't have names. We need names so that we can tell each other apart more easily. It's a lot faster to just ask "where is Johnny?" than to have to describe him every time or to have to wait somewhere until you see him because you couldn't ask anyone where he was.

I don't think it's possible to live completely without an identity.

Is it achieveable? i'm no longer particular no matter if it really is or no longer. i don't believe of that any human except Jesus has been waiting to stay without sinning. perchance if we lived all by way of ourselves, without human beings and no distractions, we may have a shot at it. LOL i do not comprehend. Even the Apostle Paul, who all of us comprehend turned right into a very solid Christian, couldn't do it. i do not objective to be sinless because i do not pick to rigidity myself insane. My objective is basically to get myself to the point the position i'm so on the fringe of God, listening so heavily to the Holy Spirit, that anytime i think the temptation to sin I supply up and imagine and settle on what i am going to do (and favor to do the right ingredient instead!) particularly than giving in so extremely.

I went to school with a girl that did not legally have a first name. They called her Michelle, but there was no actual name on her birth certificate. So I guess it is possible. She got to chose her identity. And I guess she could change it when ever she felt like it.

Naming children is not a fool proof system. Passport forgerer's easily change photos to take on the identity of any person, by simply changing the photo. I think finger prints are a better way to ensure identity, as it is unique.

Well if noone had a name, how would you address one another. I was going to say use numbers, but that is in its own way a name.

And if you wanted to gossip about someone behind their back how would the respondent know who you are talking about.
