i got the computer with following hardware.......... Is that that ready for new windows vista??

It is vista compatible, but I would wait 12 months before purchasing Vista because it will have heaps of errors, security risks and bugs with the first release of it. In 12 months there will be updates to fix the problems, it may be that crap that they have to bring out a totally different OS to replace it (like windows ME) Never purchase a new OS within the first 12 months of release. It will also be cheaper after a year

You need more memory. Someone I know says you need 2 Gigs of ram to run Vista without slow downs.
