Which AMD Athlon-64 X2 processor is equivilent to an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600?

And which processor do you recommend.. Intel or AMD? Considering their price and performance.

If we are talking about performance, none of the X2s are on par with the E6600. The high end FX-62 comes pretty close, but is still slightly behind, and of course almost twice the price. Considering this, I would say go with the Intel.

don,t know, haven,t done my home work, but in 6 years of computer repair, i fix 1 amd based comp to at least 4 intel,recently intel was underselling amd, but they,ve done two price cuts since!
