The salary of a doctor and the salary of a NFL are subject to the
rules of market economy and they are as they are for obvious reasons(millions watch a game etc etc...) unless someone prefers another system,eg centrally planned(socialism communism...) which is not popular at present around the world
and for the wright reasons...

Now, if you become a millionaire somehow you do not have to ask that question because millionaires do not pay taxes. The government is not greedy. It's the corporations that control the government who are greedy.
