I would check the Haynes manual, or the owners manual and see if that was normal, barring that, check to see if your radiator fluid is the right mix ratio for your climate, see if your water pump is working properly and maybe check your temperature sensor ? It may be buggy?

OH ya, check how much oil you have in 'er , I heard (don't know if it is true) that if you put too much oil in your engine you can run into issues with it overheating and blowing gaskets out etc.

Well if you talking about degrees F then your actually really low most cars should run 180F-220F. If its in F then it sounds like your thermostat already failed in the open position. You could also have a faulty gauge or sending unit.

Even if thats C your talking about then your running about 212F which isn't critical. I would check coolant mix ratio, thermostat(these are about 10% of the time bad when they a new), water pump, engine fan.

100 + is ok , bear in mind a cars cooling system is pressurized to an extent to allow the water to get above normal atmospheric boiling point without actually boiling
