reason why i ask is because my car acts like it doesnt want to go when i put it in drive.... i have to shift gears a few times before it moves... when it does finally move sometimes it jerks off full speed (for a split sec)... im trying to hold off on getting this fixed because im trading my car soon.... however.................i want to make sure that if left unattended this problem will not get too much worse, blow my transmission etc.

thanks for your reponse...actually, when my car started doing this (and having jerky movements when i de-celerated and hit 30mph) there was a time when i had no fluid at all! but since then ive been keeping up with it and the fluid levels are fine

If it was that low on fluid, the clutches are probably fried. You could try a fluid change.

It should`nt be jerking off at full speed, its only asking for trouble that way. If you do intend to blow the transmission make sure its not hot. You could burn your lips off.
