Peace is a brokered affair. International leaders dont understand the meaning of peace. It is understood by grass root level people. When USA decides to attack a small country, u think the fellas in US are happy that someone out there is loosing their life. That their soldier husbands, sons are sacrificing their lives for a stupid thing like peace!

I think no country in the world understand peace better than India. We have been provoked to the point of being called cowards etc! But we maintain our cool! We really understand the importance of peace. It is the only reason we dont pick up arms or bomb a country for the smallest provocation. We were all against the Saddam hanging! We knew it would destroy peace and bring more hatred amongst the small communities in Iraq.

I think high ranking leaders are against terrorism. Only fanatics are ok with killing people for whatever they believe in. The first poster was correct, freedom isn't free and I think most leaders would rather have a conflict free world/administration.

Peace is only achieved through strength. The absence of tyranny is only achieved by force. Freedom is not free.
