In Nintendogs how do you get your puppy to hold tricks for longer?

My puppy ALWAYS stops about 1 second before the time limit in the championship

at home make him to the tricks lots...

e.g sit... make him sit and let him hold it and just repeat it

WARNING!! donot try to make your dog do the trick at home by saying it into the mic coz it doesnt work at home you will have to do it manually.. for instance for sit you would use your pen to brush down on hes head to make him sit

Just keep doing what you're doing now. Everytime she does a trick, pet her until the little sparkly things come up. I would repeat that until the little golden bone thingy pops up (make sure you drag that into their mouth!) with every trick.
