Obviously Batman. Super intelligence does not include in Superman's powers.

In the old days, it would have been no challenge. Granted, Batman is smart, and plans ahead, but a chess game is something different from a battlefield, where there are always unexpected surprises. Superman used to have a computer mind and he was able to think as fast as a computer, and had a perfect memory and stuff like that. But now, I think Batman would be a match for him, intellectually. Maybe batman would win, after all.

Batman, definitely. Superman is intelligent enough, but he still uses his brawn over his brains. Batman has to compensate for not having superpowers by being able to think his way out of situations, and being able to come up with those "wonderful toys," to quote the Penguin.

Batman: he is all about strategy, and planning Superman while possessing the capacity for for super IQ usually subscribes to the 'Hit things repeatedly' approach to problems, and is typically of average IQ, technically he could superspeed a multitude of options and see openings for Counter attacks on each move but that would be cheating.

I would say Batman. I mean, seriously. He's not all brawn. He can be sneaky and he obviously does a bit more strategizing than Superman has to do... So Batman, most definately.

Probably Superman. Unlike how he normally acts when paired with Batman, he actually has superhuman intelligence, so logic shouldn't be too hard for him.

agree with shah, super intelligence is not 1 of superman's super abilities, and disagree with lahuretz, batman's not just a dumb rich boy, he's well-known for his great brain (besides his gadgets & trained physic)

so - doesn't matter who plays white - the winner will be ... batman!

How in the name of sanity am I supposed to know the answer to that?
What a ridiculous question.
I've never met them, am never likely to meet them, so how am I supposed to work out their chess strategies?
You don't even tell me who will be playing black, or who will be playing white.
I give up.
