press ln function in your calculator
type in 6.5 or 3/8
you will get the answer

ln(6.5)=1.871802177
that is also equal to log of 6.5 to the base 2.717281828

ln(3/8)=-0.980829253
that is also equal to log of 3/8 to the base 2.717281828

ln (6.5) and ln(3/8)?

The simple factor of the matter is that you can't; not without a calculator. You'd have to plug in the value on a scientific calculator and your approximation would be right there. There are no pen and paper ways to solve it.

There are ways it can get modified, though.

ln(6.5) = ln(65/10) = ln(65) - ln(10)

ln(3/8) = ln(3) - ln(8)

But that doesn't contribute to finding the value.

Then press the button marked ‘ln’ if it is in your calculator.
